EXECUTIVE SUMMARY South African economy is energy intensive and depends on industries and mining. The energy sector and more specifically electricity generation and demand in South Africa is experiencing challenges as a result of increased demand necessitated by economic growth. This pressure has led to the government soliciting medium to long term solutions to electricity demand, usage and energy efficiency. The other driving force is the Kyoto protocol initiatives that are putting countries under severe pressure to comply with environmental friendly energy generation and usage. To this extend corporations, industries, households and the governments are frantically looking for solutions from empowered companies to provide gadgets and technologies to satisfy these challenges. It is note worthy to mention that South Africa accounts for 50% of Africa’s energy usage, whilst it is ranked amongst the top 20 CO2 emitters in the world. Therefore coal accounts for 80% of primary energy usage. As Eskom (Electricity Generating Company) is being severely challenged to meet the “peak” electricity demand. It is against this background that Premier Brands Escos was formed to leverage mutual opportunities with willing and credible partners. Premier Brands Escos has elected to partner with Bosch/Buderus TT Division as a strategic business partner. The members of Premier Brands have the credentials and reputation to add value to the company. | BUSINESS RATIONALE TO PARTNER WITH BOSCH TT DIVISION The Government’s White Paper on Energy Policy (1998) and the draft Energy Bill legislation are aimed at regulating energy efficiency technologies and improvements on energy usages. This approach by the government provided an opportunity for gadgets suppliers such as Buderus/Bosch TT and many others to supply the markets made up of households, industries and commercial sectors to conserve electricity. PREMIER BRANDS ENERGY Premier Brands Energy is a combination of well vest and educated entrepreneurs and professionals. It is led by highly respected energy specialists in Africa. Premier Brands Escos is represented by Lambertus Nicolaas de Beer (C.E.M.) a Certified Energy Manager/Specialist, with the assistance of Willie Kotzé and Beya Sumpi (Mechanical, Energy and Project Engineers). | | MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE The individuals represented in this investment group have held high-level positions in both the private and public sectors, where they are widely respected for their abilities to drive growth and achieve tangible results.
