To this extent Premier Brands has responded to this important aspect of the country’s transformation agenda by responding to all the elements of the BBBEE score card. As part of our strategy we believe in an integrated approach of sharing the wealth of the economy through employment equity and the participation of the woman and the youth in our business pursuits.

Peppercorn Investments (Pty) Ltd. is a newly formed entity, with a 100% black female ownership that was established with a view of focusing on the empowerment of woman by investing in sustainable opportunities in specific areas namely:

The shareholders of Peppercorn Investments saw an area of opportunity in the fact that Heating, Ventilation, Air-conditioning, Cooling and Refrigeration plays a major role for an infrastructure-based economy, therefore opening the window of opportunity for accelerated economic and social development. Through Peppercorn Investments’ interaction with woman structures and woman empowerment bodies they decided to leverage off their technical know how offered by Premier Brands Holdings, with the aim of developing and enhancing woman participation in the HVAC industry.

Peppercorn Investments’ Director Profile

Mpho holds a B. Degree in Social Science, an Advanced Diploma in Social Work acquired from the University of Cape Town and a Masters Diploma in International Human Resources Management.

She has twelve years experience in the human resources discipline acquired from various sectors including:

• Accenture – IT & Management Consulting Firm
• PeopleMetrics - Performance Management Consulting Firm
• South African Secret Services – Intelligence Community
• Sonnenberg Hoffmann Galombik – Commercial Law Firm.

Her experience in Human Resources is extensive & includes:

• Targeted recruitment and selection management
• Performance management design and implementation – (Balanced Scorecard Methodology)
• Job design, job grading and job evaluation
• Employee Counselling Programs
• Market related salaries and benefits models

Mpho is currently a Director at Congress Rental and her role and responsibilities mainly include overseeing overall operations as well as developing Business Development Strategies and the implementation thereof.

Skills Development

We re-affirm our total commitment to skills development in the HVAC industry. Premier Brands would also implement its enterprise development strategy to reduce the unemployment rate by contributing to the development of BEE Companies in the HVAC contracting environment. It is furthermore our commitment to focus on other aspects of this intervention process through the BEE Procurement Policy and support for our community through our Social Corporate Investment Policy.
